How I work…

  • Team-based decisions

Several factors help me make writing decisions: research, data, usability testing, peer design reviews, hallway testing, stakeholder input, and more. I thrive on gathering feedback and value other perspectives.

  • Always test content

I can help create test plans and observe how end-users react to messaging, directions, labels, etc. I’m a diligent note-taker and take people’s opinions seriously. I’ll iterate content based on feedback.

  • Figma collaboration

Figma has made content design and UX writing so much more efficient. Real-time wireframing and prototyping help me quickly relay ideas that bring content to life.

I’m not sure how I got stuff done without it…

  • Mentor mindset

Whether it’s Product, Engineering, Design, or whoever — I’m happy to explain content decisions and the overall design process I follow.

I also mentor people who want to transition into UX content design and writing. I’ve spoken at Denver-area content strategy meetups, and I regularly chat with people who want to break into the content design discipline.

  • Inclusivity and empathy

I write clear, concise, and helpful content that's conversational and human. I write with all people in mind. Those with cognitive, educational, and other physical challenges are at the top of my mind.
